After You Arrive

 

Contact USH or contact your host directly if you will be unable to move in on the day scheduled.

If your host is not at the home on the day of your arrival please contact USH immediately. If you are calling outside of our regular business hours, please contact our emergency pager at (910) 874-8720.

While living in your homestay, make sure to follow the USH guidelines.  Please refer to your welcome packet for USH guidelines and ask your host if there are any house rules that should be followed. Students are expected to follow the host’s house rules and to respect the home and premises of the host.

If you like the host and would like to extend, please send your request by email to contact@usaish.com. Extensions are not guaranteed since this is based on the availability of the room.

 

IMPORTANT: Do not pay your housing fee directly to your host. All housing payments should be paid directly to USH.  Contact USH if you wish to extend with your host.  If you are unhappy with your host family, you are required to contact us so we may arrange a new homestay for you. If you do not contact us within the first week to change your homestay, you may need to finish the first four weeks with the host family before we can help you move (unless it is an emergency situation).
